The Meyer Theatre originally opened in 1930 as the Fox Theatre. It was closed and reopened a couple of times before closing in 1998. Over the next few years, the theatre, which had been converted to a movie triplex years earlier, was restored to its original beauty and reopened as a live theatre venue in 2002. Performances include concerts, dance performances and plays. It seats just under 1000, so tickets should be purchased in advance.

Hazelwood Historic House 2.0 mi

The Hazelwood Historic House is Green Bay's only historic house open to the public that is still on its original site. Hazelwood is a fine example of Greek Revival architecture. Its ten rooms are decorated to reflect the pioneer character of Green Bay in the 1840's and 1850's with the elegance of the 1880's and 1890's Victorian period. Built overlooking the historic Fox River in the Astor Historic District, Hazelwood was originally the home of the Morgan and Elizabeth Martin family who were a political and cultural force in the city and state for almost one hundred years. It is filled with many original furnishings, family photographs, paintings and artifacts. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1964. Hazelwood is open for tours seasonally and for group tours year round.

The Ashwaubenon Historical Society actively collects historical artifacts of Northeast Wisconsin and specifically Ashwaubenon. The Society's exhibits include antique farm equipment from the 1800's, plus a turn of the century farm house and school exhibit.
